Horseback Trail Riding Near Atlanta

Sometimes the best way to reset is to trade traffic, screens, and crowded schedules for a quiet trail and the steady rhythm of a horse. The Reserve at Sweetwater Creek is bringing that experience closer to home with guided horseback trail riding on 43 acres in Austell, Georgia.

Planned to open in mid-October 2026, The Reserve is designed to be a local Atlanta experience for more than experienced riders. It is a place where first-timers, families, couples, solo guests, and groups can step outside their normal routine and experience horses and nature together.

Leave the City Behind Without Leaving Metro Atlanta

You should not have to plan an entire weekend away to enjoy a memorable outdoor adventure. Located just outside Atlanta, The Reserve offers a convenient escape into peaceful wooded paths, open fields, and natural Georgia scenery.

A trail ride can become the part of the week everyone remembers: a different kind of date, a family outing that gets everyone outdoors, a quiet solo experience, or a group activity that feels more personal than the usual options around the city.

Guided Rides for First-Timers, Families, Couples and Groups

The Reserve’s trail-riding experience is being developed to welcome a range of riders, from people getting on a horse for the first time to guests who already feel comfortable in the saddle. Current plans include:

  • Guided rides with experienced staff
  • Beginner-friendly riding options
  • Safe, well-trained horses
  • Scenic routes through natural landscapes
  • Private and group ride options

Each ride is intended to feel welcoming, peaceful, and memorable. Before booking, guests will receive the confirmed information needed for their selected experience, including availability and any applicable rider requirements.

Make the Experience Your Own

The Reserve is more than a place to take one standard ride. Planned experiences include sunset rides, couples rides, family rides, private group rides, child pony experiences, picnic-and-ride experiences, birthday experiences, and seasonal community events. Availability may vary as the property opens and expands its calendar.

Whether you are celebrating something important or simply looking for something fun to do near Atlanta, the experience begins with the same invitation: slow down, get outside, and see Sweetwater Creek from a different perspective.
